June 25th 2024, Montmeló – Luka Wloemer will make his debut in RX2e when the Championship gets underway in Höljes, Sweden on July 6th-7th. The rising-star will join the grid for the whole season as part of the ZEROID Motorsport team.

“I have heard about the RX2e in 2021 already and it has always been a series I have wanted to compete in and win. This year it is possible for me to do so”, he says about why to join the series. Even though he is a newcomer to RX2e and this opportunity “is a big challenge”, he still expects some good results: “I want to have a good season, with hopefully some wins and also good working together with the team”. The ultimate goal is clear: “I want to win the series and be the first German to win the RX2e!”

Luka Wloemer started his career at just 5 years old, in slalom karting. He was declared the best newcomer talent in Berlin in 2007 and 2008. From then, he moved to racetrack and in 2012 won a regional Championship in Rotax karting. He kept racing in different Championships such as DKM and in 2018 he decided to join the world’s first electric karting series, the DEKM, which he ended up winning in 2020. In 2021 he raced in the Porsche Sprint Challenge, and he won the title in his debut season, after taking the lead in the second race weekend and winning 8 races.

Just ahead of his first season in RX2e, the German driver had tested the car for the first time in a private test in Essay, so he got the feeling behind the wheel of the ZEROID X1 in which he will be competing during this year. “I’ve loved to get to know it and to drive it the first time. I really enjoy the technology and how the car works on track. The most enjoyable thing about the car for me was how the car worked with the weight transfer and the handling in steering while braking and accelerating”, he tells about the ZEROID X1. “I’ve adapted very quickly to the car and the mechanics and after that I really enjoyed the car and driving it to the limits”, Wloemer adds.

The 2024 RX2e campaign will get underway in Höljes, Sweden, on 6-7 July, and Luka Wloemer could not be more ready for it: “I’m super happy to have the possibility to race this year in RX2e and giving my all to win!”
